Rules & Regulations

  1. Registration Fee Rp. 25.000. Free Registration for TPC Members or showing receipt of Dongeng Sekolah Tebing book purchasing in Times bookstores
  2. Participant must register before 18 February 2012.
  3. Registration form is available in all Times bookstores Jabodetabek.
  4. Participant should choose the category that corresponds to the their age.
  5. Participant are not allowed to participate in more than one category.
  6. Every participant must choose one story from a book by Clara Ng, Dongeng Sekolah Tebing.
  7. Participant must finish presenting their story within 5 minutes. Judges will raise a flag as a sign that storyteller has 1 minute left to finish their story. Over time limit will affect the point.
  8. Participant allow to bring costumes, properties, and outline note (not Dongeng Sekolah Tebing book) for story telling.
  9. Participant must attend 30 minute before the competition begin on 19 February 2012.

 

Judging Criteria

 1. Preparation

  • How well did the storyteller know and deliver the story?
  • Was he or she prepared?
  • Was the delivery smooth?

2. Diction

  • Did the storyteller speak clearly?
  • Could the audience hear and understand the storyteller?

3. Expression (includes the use of props, costumes, etc)

  • Did the storyteller demonstrate a natural eye-flow with the audience. Did the teller’s face “help tell” the story?
  • Were their facial expressions and the use of props & costumes befitting the story elements?
  • Did their face show excitement, sorrow, joy or other  emotions, matching the content of the story?

 4. Time limit

  • Did the story fit within the 5-minute time requirement?
  • Did the storyteller go over the time limit?
  • Was the story cut too short to effectively tell the whole story?
  • Was it clear to the audience that the story was over?

5. Judges decision is final and no correspondence pertaining to the judging process will be entertained.
